Key Responsibilities

• Lead Zalando’s technological innovation strategy, overseeing the development and deployment of cutting-edge tech solutions across the business.
• Drive the company’s digital transformation, ensuring that technology is leveraged to enhance customer experience and business operations.
• Manage and mentor the engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee data strategy, AI, machine learning, and automation efforts to improve e-commerce processes, including personalization, logistics, and inventory management.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, operations, and business development, to align tech initiatives with company goals.
• Monitor emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for Zalando to maintain its competitive edge.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, with a focus on e-commerce or retail technology.
• Extensive experience in overseeing large-scale tech projects and digital transformations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
• Fluency in German and English.
